Bug Description

Binary package hint: xchat

Whenever I add a channel say #ubuntu-hardened to my favourite channel by right clicking and Add To favourite. The channel is added but when close and restart xchat the channel does not appear on its own. The only way left for me, to automatically load channels at start up and add to favourites is manually entering, in the start when XChat network list come , in 'edit ubuntu servers'..

You should be able to set it in the network list, under the settings for the network in question. Let us know if that also fails.

I used NetworkList > Edit Ubuntu Servers in Favourite channels. There I
manually entered #ubuntu-hardened and it works fine ..

As mentioned in Debian Bug 510413, this is fixed in xchat-2.8.8 with patch from upstream: http://xchat.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xchat?view=rev&revision=1367

A fixed version of xchat-2.8.6 with that patch is in my PPA. Would be nice if this patch got into lucid-updates :-)
