Bug Description
Binary package hint: xchat
Load xchat. Connect to a server. Join a channel. Right click on the channel and select Add to Favorites. Close xchat. Reopen. Favorites are gone.
I talked to the devs in #xchat, and they said its a known bug in 2.8.6. So the requested fix would be to get a backport to lucid for 2.8.8.
Work around: XChat -> Network List. Click 'Close'. Then exit, favorites will now be saved.

I can confirm that behaviour. Same happens for removal of favorite channels via the context menu on the channel tab.
