Can you please try to file a crash report by first enabling apport with
sudo service apport start force_start=1
then trying to crash aptitude again. After that you should have a crash file in /var/crash/. File a crash report with
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/<crashfile>
Once you have reported the bug please mark this bug as a duplicate of the new one.

If that's impossible, at least try to give a complete backtrace, your current one is missing symbols, especially the top ones would be important! (libwxgtk2.8-dbg or libwxbase2.8-dbg missing?)
