I actually tried to find the mentors.debian.net package, but failed (https://mentors.debian.net/wpa 404s, https://mentors.debian.net/package/wpa redirects somewhere useless). Thanks for the more direct pointer.

I’m not officially an Ubuntu developer, but AFAIK there’s no problem with xz sources in current Ubuntu releases.
