Comment 50 for bug 64841

I'm also using kubuntu and still having the above mentioned issue. I have recently upgraded from Dapper 6.06 to Edgy 6.10. Can someone please tell me (a fairly worn newbie) what steps to take to fix this issue. I am using my PC wirelessly and a friend (who is new to Linux) is using his laptop. We are both frustrated at the way this problem is ruining our Ubuntu experience.
