Binary package hint: network-manager
Jaunty will no longer associate with my work's Belkin N1 wireless AP. Jaunty running from the alpha 5 CD did used to associate, using these versions:
linux-image-2.6.28-8-generic 2.6.28-8.26 network-manager 0.7.1~rc1+20090220-0ubuntu1
but the latest Jaunty DOESN'T associate:
linux-image-2.6.28-8-generic 2.6.28-8.27 or 2.6.28-8.28 network-manager 0.7.1~rc3-0ubuntu1
As well, Intrepid with this configuration DOESN'T associate either (it used to until approximately the 20th of Feb using linux-image-2.6.28-8.24):
linux-image-2.6.28-8-generic 2.6.28-8.25 network-manager 0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu1.8.10.1
The card is an Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61) using the iwlagn driver.
Since linux-image 2.6.28-8.24 did associate, then .25 didn't, then .26 did, then .27 didn't, it seems to be a network-manager problem.
When it doesn't associate, it simply times out and network-manager asks for a password again.
Attached are some daemon logs showing Jaunty alpha5 associating but later versions not associating.
