I think that it's undeniable that the main graphical/widget system on the majority of Linux desktops is GTK (though it relies on X11, but the "main" interface is GTK). So when will we have a GTK video driver included in Wine?

Simple facts: ALSA is the sound system most widely installed on Linux unless you count ALSA's arguably dodgy OSS emulation. (OSS is the sound system most widely available on Unix-like systems.) If you want to know how this works, first work out how many legs the average human has.
