In order to have this ticket closed, because obviously this winepulse patch won't go into main tree, would be to use an already patched distro.

Mandriva : I've included the patch since the Mandriva 2009.1 (as far I can remember)
Fedora : they have patch included.

I don't know for the other distros, but if they don't have it, please guys open a ticket in their bug tracker.
Maybe it would be easier to convince wine packages maintainers...
