from what I've read there is the will to:
*) Art to submit the latest patches and to undergo a review process
*) wine maintainers to review the code and possibly accept it
You're all right guys, let's stop the nonsense. Let's stop arguing about the fact that WINE->ALSE is better than WINE->PULSE->ALSA, but the latter is better than WINE->ALSA->PULSE->ALSA.
We all know this.
I'm no wine dev expert but I've read the latest patch revision and apparently it doesn't seem poorly written.
Nevertheless I believe in GPL, Open Source and the power of collaboration.
Art is a great guy, clearly the first revision of his patch needed some polish.
Now apparently both parties are willing to meet in the middle.
I bet that with both Ben's expertise and Art's experience a very good patch will come out.

Let's "make it happen"?
Cheers guys!
