Comment 135 for bug 371897

Damn, looks like I spoke too soon.
But it did seem to work.
However, when I tried it again today, it failed to.
When I recompiled with period_time changed, it works again.

The only thing that changed between today and the previous test was
that my system load is a lot lighter today, but why should it matter ?
And does that magic number really depend on system load ?
