Only when Wine is being called using pasuspender, which suspends the sound of all other applications using PA.

But you are right, the free-time gamer is probably content using the PA Alsa plugin if it would work. So we can finally sum up that it should be made to work using Wine and that everything should be as it should be then.

The professional gamer would have to use pasuspender.
