I have tried setting gnome-sound-properties to alsa instead of autodetect.
I have also tried selecting the alsa option that matches my current sound card.
It crashes just as if I leave it on autodetect.
My winecfg is set to ALSA.
This problem is new, as of about 2 weeks ago.
