xserver-xorg-dev (2:1.2.0-3ubuntu8) to 2:1.2.0-3ubuntu8.3

my Wine 0.9.47 stop to function. When I try to use this running a program like IE6 or calling winecfg in terminal, it closes my session went to login screen.

I think that the acroread packages isn't the problem. I putted back the xserver-xorg-core 2:1.2.0-3ubuntu8 and xserver-xorg-dev 2:1.2.0-3ubuntu8 removing *ubuntu8.3 version, but the problem continue.

After this, I remove wine by Synaptic and compiled wine 0.9.53. But I have the same problem

Do you have any suggestion??

Thanks!

Could you provide us with the console output of the crash?

so...start wine from a xterm/gnome-terminal/konsole and copy and paste it into this bug report.

Thx,

It's impossible to copy the problem here because when I try to run the winecfg on terminal, for exemple, it automatically close my session and went to Ubuntu login screen.

Now I discover the same problem when I try to run mplayer.

Everything was good yesterday, after the update that I list before this problem begins. Problem the root of problem isn't wine or mplayer but one of the packages that I list before.

Firefox, Thunderbird, totem, XMMS, qBittorrent, OpenOffice, Gaim, gedit and Synaptic is fine, continue to run ok. I saying this because probably you know the packages that this programs depends on.

At this time, I having problem only in Wine and gmplayer.

Now I have put back all old packages, before *ubuntu3.1 packages, but
the problem continue.

Wine and gmplayer doesn't function anymore. As I said, this close my
session not permiting me to see the program report or something like this.

Hi

Installing the newest version (169.07) of the NVIDIA drivers completely fixed the problem for me.

As suggested here:

For those of us using Intel-based video cards this is still an issue.

This has been fixed for over a month and a half from the MESA library developers...

We're currently waiting for the Ubuntu package maintainers to recompile the source and upload the new "official" package.
