Bug Description

Aiptek Slim Tablet 600U is a cheap USB drawing tablet that used to work in Hardy upon some dirty hacking (see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=477287).
Since I installed Intrepid, it is no longer usable. Since xorg.conf is apparently not parsed anymore, I hacked an fdi file in order to pass the options to xserver, with no luck whatsoever. I tried dozens of configs everywhere on internet and even recompiled the kernel wacom module (apparently recompiling 2.6.26 modules under 2.6.27 makes wacom work), but nothing helped.
Does anyone have a clue?
Thank you.

By the way, I didn't tell what happens.
Absolute cursor positioning works, if I don't move it too fast.
Pressing the tip of the pen (as for emulating mouse button 1) freezes temporarily the tablet, as does pressing upper button (that should emulate mouse button 3 - the right one). The lower button works as left double click normally.
Tried desktop-wide as mouse, tried in Inkscape and Gimp.

I have the same problem and I didn't find anything on the internet.
As far as I am concerned this issue is not a duplicate, for the tablet works (it does position the mouse on the right place on the screen), but the clicking does not, as Matheus's said.

It is a duplicate. I had exactly the same problems, and they were fixed by using the packet by Loïc Martin: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom
