When I got your message I checked and found marlett was no longer on my konsole
font menu. It took me a bit of digging but I found that marlett was a wine font
in /usr/share/wine/fonts/marlett.ttf (owned by the wine package). I added that font back in and the issue still occurs on konsole.
It also seems to happen on 'mitra mono', but is fine on DejaVu Sans Mono
Hmm - I've just tried mitra mono in gnome-terminal and it has the same rendering issue; OK - so this bug can't be a kdebase issue - I wonder where it should be reassigned to? (Or is it those fonts just aren't suitable for terminals? Yet they show up in the selection....)
Short answer yes; but see the longer answer.....
