It looks like the problem stems from this line:

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/nijaba/ubuntu/dists/quantal/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found

Please could you explain the presence of this PPA? Is this from a entry that is no longer needed? I don't believe that vmbuilder uses this PPA by default, so what in your configuration is causing this attempt that fails?
