 I upgraded to 9.04 from 8.10 on 30/05/09; I waited until then, as I had the idea that any bugs would have been fixed...

I followed the steps as mentioned by LeeWells, but I had the same result as kit. So I uninstalled pulseaudio, & Myth seems OK now.

I experienced the problem of the frontend crashing in the following circumstances, but I suppose that all of these go through the same process that triggers the crash:
1. on Live TV, using the pop-up menu, trying to change channels (fortunately, I only use Live TV rarely).
2. exiting from watching a recorded TV program, using the KB escape button (whether at the end or not).
3. trying to delete from the pop-up menu that displays at the end of a recorded TV program.

(I use the keyboard for everything, as my "Microsoft" remote stopped working some time after I installed Mythbuntu 8.04, possibly when I changed to 8.10...).
