It happens in Xorg too. When I am in fullscreen and I hover the mouse over the playback position bar the video freezes a moment and if I click to a different position it freezes for a lot of time or forever and I have to reset my pc. Intel HD Graphics 3000. Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. VLC 3.0.3-1-1ubuntu1. xserver-xorg-core 2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4.
