Seems like nobody here in this community is actually interested in solving this issue, or at least post a comment or assign this ticket to somebody who solves it.

Who in this world has weeks (or months, or years?) of time to wait, that a software gets fixed so that it runs again?

Thought, that this community here is active, but either these are ghosts, bots or they dont give a s*** about that people like me are posting problems here into this board and try help solving them.

Found a workaround:

Switching back to older kernel "4.4.0-142-generic" instead of "...-143".
After that, run:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure virtualbox-dkms
