According to http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/gear/details/AMR/EN,crid=30,contentid=675 the webcam you are using is connected by USB. USB support is not included in the "open source edition" (OSE) of virtualbox, which is available as part of Ubuntu: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions#Closed-sourcefeatures

As such you are apparently using the PUEL (not the OSE) version of Virtualbox, which isn't available in Ubuntu due to incompatible licensing terms. Thus, you should report bugs in this package to Virtualbox (http://virtualbox.org/) directly. I'm therefore closing this bug 'invalid. It is possible to reopen this bug to proove my assumptions wrong.
