So does it work and fix the bug?

Unfortunately just knowing that it "works" isn't enough it should be relibaly switching between buggy and good state when changing the package versions (and reboot the guest).
Otherwise we might just look at something that is - in addition to the issue - flaky.

Let me know once you have tried that in detail and got your feedback from the wider test with the team.

We still need to bring up step-by-step test instructions then to be able to verify this in the SRU process. So if in your testing anything in particular turns out to be the most reliable way to see the issue let me know.
