OK I give up.

I keep getting multiple requests to upgrade both the system and apps, but all of them fail. I'm fed up with typing my password four or more times a day. The software centre refuses to open, and attempting to install anything using Synaptic or the terminal also fail.

Seriously, if this is your idea of a stable OS, then for me it's a fail. Worse than windows.

Time to move on. Just finished downloading mint. Time to try that.
