hi all.
sorry for my bad english

i had same problem with my laptop Medion MIM2080: no power management, laptop screen stay tuned on in hibernation and shutdown.

i tried to remove spash and Quiet, but nothing changed.

then i remember that some one who had same laptop said to remove ACPI=OFF
i removed it, and i pushed "b" to reboot, and everything went OK:
-Battery has been found and managed by Ubuntu
-hibernation OK
-shutdown OK

but still have wifi (not found even with ndiswrapper) and graphic card problem (no 3D at all)
