Thanks for your fast answer. This problem is probably a duplicate of bug 150930 which is fixed in Hardy. Can you follow these instructions and confirm if it fixes your issue?

1. Edit your /etc/usplash.conf file to contains the same values as your actual resolution (xres=1024 yres=768), you can do this by typing this on a terminal : gksu gedit /etc/usplash.conf
2. Once you saved the change, type this in a terminal to apply the changes in usplash : sudo update-initramfs -u
