Bug Description
I just installed a fresh 64bit gutsy on my laptop instead of the 32bit i was already running.
During boot-time, right after the GRUB-menu has appeared, the screen goes black. I.e. bootsplash does not work. First thing i see after that is GDM. Gnome works fine and the resolution is OK. Switching to TTY1 - 6 (ctrl-alt-f1 - f6), shows a very large login-prompt with a very low resolution. After logging in, it appears that my screen doesnt show everything there is to show..
I'm not sure what information to include here. Please ask if more info is needed.

I just switched back to a fresh 32-bit install of gutsy which has the exact same problem. Before i switched to 64 bit i was running an upgraded feisty, so apparently any freshly installed gutsy has this problem for me and it is not specific to the 64-bit version of Gutsy.
