2008-10-08 19:29:07 Stéphane Graber usplash: statusexplanation I can confirm that bug on a WebDT thin client. The Geode chip is: VGA compatible controller: National Semiconductor Corporation Geode GX2 Graphics Processor When booting, the usplash boot screen displays correctly but when comes to the time to start the X server, only the progressbar remains on the screen and everything got stuck. I can still ssh in and see that X is trying to start on tty7. It makes that client unusable with usplash forcing us to create a second boot root with usplash disabled. Thanks for finding a way to fix the issue (or at least disable usplash for that chipset).
