Binary package hint: usplash

I have a fresh install of Gutsy Gibbon Beta, on an EM64T architecture. The problem is that after selecting the GRUB menu entry to boot Ubuntu, the screen turns black and does not show nothing again.
In order to boot Ubuntu, I have to edit the boot options and change "splash" to "nosplash".
