I went through this at the start of last year.

Please, tell someone you know. If you have friends, they will be friends with you for a reason. The true ones will be there to help you - people are a lot less judgemental than your fears believe them to be. I have a family like yours, and a similar fear of people judging me based on this, and telling someone about the way I felt was the best thing that I could have done. Just make sure you feel safe with them knowing before telling them.

Don't just disappear. People will miss you, no matter how little you think they will.
