Bug Description
Binary package hint: usb-modeswitch
usb-modeswitch crashes when used in Sony mode. Tested with Sony MD400. The developer confirms a bug in 1.1.0 (ships with Lucid) when used in Sony mode.
Current version is v1.1.1, which does not have this issue.
The MD400 is used by several major carriers, and is useless in Lucid without this upgrade. There are Debian packages in squeeze and sid.

Hi,
As Lucid is now in Final Freeze period, it is very certainly too late for an upstream update of usb-modeswitch for Lucid. It seems a no-go.
I created a PPA with "Debian official backports for Lucid": ppa:odyx/ usb-modeswitch It will always contain the testing version.
