Using todays daily / RC I get thrown to initramfs with both i386 and 64bit isos, on a kingston 4GiBs pen drive, on my laptop.

On another PC with i386 I get the "Missing Operating System" of bug #277903.

$ apt-cache show usb-creator
Package: usb-creator
Installed-Size: 192
Architecture: all
Version: 0.1.9

I'll reboot later and see if I can get the casper.log (any ideas on how to save if?)
