Bug Description
Trying to create a bootable USB disk with

Steps to reproduce:
1) Start Startup Disk Creator
2) Erase usb stick
3) Select "Discarded on shutdown.."
4) Click on "Make startup disk"
Results:
4) After few minutes the dialog appears to ask password for writing the bootloader. After giving a valid one, then the usb-creator-gtk will Segmentation fault (core dumped).
Expected result:
To be able to create a bootable USB stick with Quantal (amd64) on it using Quantal (i386).
Occurs:
failed 9 out of 10 times tried.
