Patches sent upstream for review (already discussed with Richard on IRC, should be okay).
I managed to do this in a way which remains compatible with the previous API, so we do not need to fix gnome-session and g-p-m after all. indicator-applet seems to do something funky and not use DkpClient, so this still needs fixing.
