Comment 12 for bug 88104

ok what the hell? my gnome-panel is gone, and i dont have access to a terminal or anything. i even had to get this firefox window open by creating a new text file on the desktop and "open with" firefox.... ??????????

what the hell do i do now? this is after refreshing synaptic, marking all upgrades, and applying them. im confused now as to how i actually work with this... how do i get the panel back?? i had access to a terminal directly after it happened, and i typed in gnome-panel, but it said the command didnt exist, and im pretty sure thats what it is, right? help?!
