Thanks! It looks like update-notifier didn't detected the upgrade for some
reason. Does
the file /var/lib/update-notifier/dpkg-run-stamp has about the time you did the
upgrade?
Do you have fam (or gamin) runing? If you do a "apt-get update", do
update-notifier detect
that and update it's status (if no updates are available it should just go away)?
