I was using the default Gnome theme on this machine.

The upgrade to Feisty through the update-manager did not complete
successfully, and I had to manually finish it myself with a "dpkg
--configure -a"/"aptitude dist-upgrade". Unfortunately, I do not remember
why the upgrade did not complete successfully.

After the reboot, everything looked normal, except for (a) the crash report
icon and (b) screen resolution (but that was due to having to enable the
nvidia drivers).
