I did download those firefox files via my browser but, I can't get Ubuntu's Software Manager nor its Update Manager to "take" them. With Mandriva Linux, its RPM Manager does effortlessly take any such update files downloaded from the web. I have learned to rely on or to just use RPM only to do such things. Installing software on my own without RPM doesn't work. I bet its the same with Ubuntu also where I must use its software installing system as evidenced by the db triggers being processed.

As such, opening the file firefox-mozilla-build_10.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb (which I downloaded) with Software Manager does not work. It just hangs with the processing animation, for hours. Update Manager has no way to read from a downloaded file but just archive mirror sites of which I tried specifying that http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt/pool/main/f/firefox-mozilla-build/firefox-mozilla-build_10.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb?r=&ts=1329168082&use_mirror=superb-sea2 site as an APT Deb site but, it won't accept it as such (OK set to sensitive) or it tries to process it but, gets the same internet connectivity error.

So, this update is unprocessable now. Unless theres a way to get the software management of Ubuntu to use it. I have noticed here that I can issue sudo get-apt package names, on Ubuntu. Is there a package name for this update that I can use with sudo?
