You indicate that you have a slow internet connection, but your video showed that is was downloading quite fast (or did you remove a part?), are you sure that it is not just grabbing the update from your CD?
I could image that the message telling you that 943M needs to be downloaded, is intended as '943M needs to be grabbed' (from either the internet or the CD).
If this is the case, the message might need to be adjusted, though
