Could you please run:
$ sudo gtk-update-icon-cache --validate /usr/share/icons/Amaranth/
$ sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/Amaranth/
and attach the output?

Does it make a difference if you run:
$ sudo gtk-update-icon-cache --force /usr/share/icons/Amaranth/
