Thanks for contacting me about this bug. I agree with you and Delance that
 this is not a Firefox bug. I had come to that conclusion on my own after
 posting the question, but didn't know what to do about it. I tried
reinstalling the Package Manager package, and that didn't help. I just
gave up. I don't know how to repair any of the packages other than
reinstalling them. I don't know what ubiquity is, so I just live with
the error message popping up all the time. Another person commented that
clicking on "OK" to get rid of the message, and retrying the updates seems
to work after a while. That is what I have been doing also. If a fix becomes
available that I understand how to do, I will fix the problem on my machine.
Thanks for keeping me updated. It is obvious I am not the only person
having the problem, so I will try to stay apprised of what is happening
with it, and make the fix when it is available.
