Can't Install 'Kubuntu-kde4-desktop' upgrading to Kubuntu 8.10

Binary package hint: update-manager

Upgrading to 08.10 and came across this error.
As per https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IntrepidUpgrades/Kubuntu
Opened run command (alt f2) and ran kdesudo "adept_manager --dist-upgrade-devel"
update-manager ran, selected to upgrade version and this error occured.

There are three files in /var/log/dist-upgrade, two now attached.
The other file term.log is an empty file.

I resolved my error and added this information to the new log, I hope that was the correct thing to do.

Update:
Updateing as I logged duplicate issue (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/281418)
I rebuilt my PC to KUBUNTU 7.10 and rerun:
kdesudo "adept_manager --dist-upgrade-devel"

Upgraded to 8.10 without any further problems.
