I have no idea what this means but assume it's related to the integrity bit above. Anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, My problem is solved. I'd had to reset my bios earlier in the day and never updated my system clock. As soon as I set the time properly the upgrader worked. I assume that's what was causing the GPG problems

Hi tbear74,
Thanks for your feedback. It's not that obvious that you are the original reporter named BioT. Anyway, I assume that the answer to my previous question is that it's not fixed. The error in comment 3 is due to a missing key in your system's keyring. If you're still experiencing this issue, then could you please open a terminal and run the following commands:

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 40976EAF437D05B5
gpg --export --armor 40976EAF437D05B5 | sudo apt-key add -

If that fails then provide the output of the commands. If upgrading to gutsy is also an issue then please attach the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade to this bug report?

Thank you.

I'm not BioT but I had apparently had a similar problem migrating to Gutsy. Most of my migrations had issues of one kind or another some of them mine some system related.

More specifically, I had issues migrating from Edgy to Feisty (wine and VMware server) and then again migrating to Gutsy (the migration itself). In each case I had made a backup, waited a while and repeated the migration successfully later. Gutsy was fine (as was Feisty) after the second migration.

Since then, I had more issues migrating to Hardy. The migration went fine, but there problems again. Samba could not browse the network on this one. I'd always been able to fix things like that but, I decided I wanted to migrate less often and I was willing to give up functionality to get that. So, much as I liked KDE 4 I bailed to Debian Lenny with KDE 3.5x. Anyway, thanks a lot for the effort but I'm not able to try your suggestion.

Hello BioT!

Could you please look at bug #319146 and tell me if it is the same problem you are experiencing? You must change "za.archive.ubuntu.com" with "old-releases.ubuntu.com" your sources.list . That should do the trick!

Thank you.
