Saying something like "your system (7.10 beta) is up to date" or "your system (7.10 final release) is up to date" would not necessarily work because as far as I know, beta and release candidates are just snapshots of packages. Maybe it should say something like "A(n) new (alpha/beta/final) version of Ubuntu is available.
