ok, I've walked through all the issues and what's left for unity8 is

* the notifications text being dark on dark (there's a linked branch for this)
* the launcher quicklist going transparent on pressed

The messaging menu is not a bug. Some changes are expected to happen on theme changes. The TextFiel Component does now have black background on the dark theme so that's what it is now.

The others (title in settings page & online account login) are not part of unity8 and should be addressed by the respective teams.
