Indeed, but nothing explains what actually happened :/ There's no unity8 crash, nothing I can see explains what's going on. The dbus exceptions actually suggest something's gone wrong with the whole session. Maybe unity8 crashed (there's a known crash related to notifications that's going away soon), but did not leave much in terms of artifacts.
