2014-01-23 15:06:40 Alan Pope 🍺🐧🐱 πŸ¦„ description I was out and about with my phone today, away from wifi, and I didn't realise my 3g connection had run out of credit. I opened the Applications lens and found loads of missing icons in the "More suggestions" category. I tried to go online in the browser but was redirected to my carrier "pay us money for credit" page. So I *do* have an internet connection but one which is blocked because I don't have any credit. I imagine this happens to people all the time. It looks pretty terrible to have a vast screen full of empty icons (I couldn't get a screenshot as I was afk) with only descriptions which were cached. I would expect that if there was no connection to the backend store, the application lens should _not_ attempt to show applications / icons. You could _probably_ reproduce this by unplugging your cable modem / router, but leaving the wifi access point up. You'd have a connection but not be able to get to the store.
