We know that benchmark and game performance in Compiz/Unity is less than in Gnome or Metacity. And we will hopefully look at improving that soon. However that is not what this bug is about.

Unless you're comparing Unity graphics performance to plain Compiz, please report your performance concerns in new bugs by running:
    ubuntu-bug compiz
