Bug Description
(Originally reported as bug #849916, then reported here after feedback on that report. This now also affects Precise.)
Applications that open windows as soon as the user logs in appear in the top left corner of the screen, directly underneath the panel and launcher (if set to never hide). This makes an Alt+drag necessary to move the window(s), and on Oneiric it causes the launcher to hide itself needlessly if set to dodge windows.
For an example of how to reproduce this, install alarm-clock-applet and have "Start automatically at login" checked in its Preferences. At each login, you will get a result like that described above (and in the attached screenshot).
