Bug Description
When alarm-clock-applet starts in Ubuntu 11.10 upon login, its application window opens in the very upper left-most corner of the screen. The window's title bar is blocked by the panel, making an Alt+drag necessary to move the window, and it also causes the Unity launcher to hide itself needlessly.

Note that while I'm still getting this issue with Unity, the window correctly opens below the panel (that is, with its titlebar visible) in GNOME Shell.
