I'm affected by this bug too... It's very annoying and I must say that with Firefox open dash fails to show quite everytime, it works regularly only with white tab page focused. Strange thing I've discovered that sometimes quick double click on Super key shows dash. Apps and files lenses (super+a, super+f) work quite as expected, sometimes they're a bit slow but at least they appear most of the times. I can confirm that this issue is present with nvidia graphic cards and not with intel, never tested on ati. I hope that this bug will get more consideration 'cos it really makes unity enjoyability a nightmare, needing to leave keyboard to use mouse/touchpad.
