Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Every few characters that I type and every time I click on any window, the Unity search box pops up. All of the icons in my Unity bar are also missing. My computer is not usable in this state.

Hi, what keyboard layout are you using? Reason to ask is perhaps the <super> key is mapped to the wrong key/s. That would explain the unwanted occuring of an otherwise working feature.
As for the icons missing, could you provide a screenshot please? Will hopefully help in finding the problem.
